When we embrace the darkness
Allow ourselves to see the beauty of transformation
Of tree forms revealed after leaves have fallen
Of water stilled to smooth ice
Of white snow where once was green growth
When we open to the Winter stillness
We open to the Earth we hold as sacred
This is a time of remembering,
We come together connecting to the Winter forests
To the time of year
To our community
We come together to join in spirit
To share the darkness and await the sun’s return
