EarthSpirit invites you to attend its annual Winter Solstice Celebration

Join us as we gather together to welcome the returning light to the Earth, and take part in a ritual celebrating the longest night and this cycle of the seasons. We come together to renew our connections and share the warmth of community.

The Winter Solstice, also known as Yule, is the holiday celebrating the rebirth of the Sun in the Pagan year. At this time of year many in the Northern Hemisphere gather together to rejoice at the beginning of the lengthening days.

The Boston Area Ritual and Feast will be held on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 at:

First Church Somerville
89 College Ave
Davis Square, Somerville, MA 02144

(There is parking in nearby and it is MBTA accessible.)

The celebration will open at 7:00 PM and the doors will close at 7:30 PM for the duration of the evening celebration. This is a family participation event.

Donations for admission $15 - $20 sliding scale includes the Feast.
Young people's admission (under 16) $6.00

Don't forget to bring a can of food for the local Food Pantry as a symbol of the way we can nourish one another through the dark time.

Feel free to also bring a YULE ornament to decorate the Yule tree.

There will be a feast with entertainment during the ritual, we welcome drinks to share.
NO Alcohol - there can be no exceptions due to the facility rental agreement.

The Menu

Appetizers:
Crudite and dip
Cheese and crackers

Main Course:
Turkey with gravy
Vegetarian lentil entree
Green beans with caramelized onions (vegan)
Salad
Bread and butter

Dessert:
Mulled apple cider
Assorted cookies

Our menu is designed to accommodate vegetarians and omnivores. If you
have other dietary needs and would like to join us, please contact us at

We will now be taking payment at the door. There are seats available. Come join us

If you cannot use paypal for your registration, please write to us eastevents@earthspirit.com, and we will try to make alternate arrangements.

Cancellations with full refund by December 6th, after that date we will have committed the money to food for the event.

Reschedule due to inclement weather will be posted here by 5 PM of the day of the event. The Snow date for this event is Sunday, December 18th.
