The EarthSpirit Ritual Performance Group
crow dancing

MotherTongue joined with many different performance groups on Boston Common, Boston, MA, USA to help raise money for OxFam America a world-wide relief organization working to end world hunger. MotherTongue performed a variety of Earth based songs to a large and varied audience. The group incorporates many different styles from traditional folk music to more contemporary mouth music. They can be seen at many EarthSpirit Events and Open Circles as well as other Pagan festivals and gatherings.

This photo depicts "Karasu"; an intricate performance piece created to call the magic of the crow. It uses rhythm and sounds that emulate the cacophony of a flock of crows, yet underneath there is a sweet Japanese lullaby about Karasu - the crow.
