As we enter the winter our gardens lie fallow
Though we may have laid in some harvest, it might not last until Spring
We come to a time of sacrifice and choice
Some things pass so that others will survive
In sacrifice there is also freedom
The freedom to change your life
The freedom to fully join in the joy of community
Yule is a time of reawakening hope
A moment in the darkest time when we can see
The change of the returning light begin
We come to community to share this moment of change
To share sustenance
To share transformation
